Handicap Adjustment
The BBGS par score for 18 holes is 28 stableford points relative to the standard scratch score (SSS). Handicaps are calculated from adjusted stableford
which means a hole score of zero is counted as 1 point. If your adjusted stableford score in a BBGS
qualifying event is more than 28, then you will be cut for every point over this threshold. The size of the
adjustment depends upon your handicap category:
Category 1 (0 to 7.9)
Adjustment 0.1 per point
Category 2 (8.0 to 12.9)
Adjustment 0.2 per point
Category 3 (13.0 to 19.9)
Adjustment 0.3 per point
Category 4 (20.0 or more)
Adjustment 0.4 per point
Additionally, you will be cut 2 points for winning a competiton and 1 point for coming second. Handicaps
will be increased by 0.1 for each qualifying round in which you score less than 28 points, unless you are already
at the maximum handicap of 28.
