Kit-Kat Wildman reclaims the Masters title with 28 points on a frosty morning at Enfield Golf Club. Slimfast Williams took second place while Ted Dinnage was our top guest. Pedrico used some trees to good effect winning Nearest the Pin and Connie Picton smashed a near-300 yard monster to take the Longest Drive honours. While the Society raises over £2000, Connie Picton adds the Charity Medal to his 2008 tally. It was a great day at Verulam Golf Club with Phil Grogan taking overal first place with a magnificent 39 points playing from just a 9 handicap. Dave Corfan, Paul Rushton and Greg Schreiber combined to take the group award and, most importantly, everybody dug deep in to their pockets to help raise £2180 for charity. Thank you! The 2008 Charity Medal will be played at Veralum Golf Club on Friday 6 June 2008. We have made provisions for up to 60 golfers so please make every effort to encourage your friends and colleagues to support our worthy causes and submit your event entries as soon as possible. This year's proceeds will be divided equally between the North London Hospice and the Neo-Natal Unit at Basildon Hospital.

We have an away Match Play fixture versus the BEM Golf Society on Friday 14 March. Fourballs Championship 2008

The Fourballs Championship 2008 will be run throughout 2008. This season Alex Conrad and Dave Williams will be defending their titles against all comers. Pick your partner and give them a run for their money. Pairs must declare themselves to the Society Secretary by 31 January 2008 and all matches must be completed by 30 December 2008. Good luck!

New Junior Member

We are delighted to report that our President has a new son. Tathan Riley was born on 19 March at 21:09 weighing in at 8lbs 15oz. He has not ventured out on the golf course just yet but his father is hopeful of him turning pro by the age of 16 and subsequently keeping his parents in supreme luxury.

We are hosting our Charity Medal Competition on Friday 8 June. This will be an 18 hole stableford competiton at Arkley Golf Club with several prizes and a concurrent team competition. The cost will be approximately £40 per person including some grub and all proceeds will go towards the Jack Brown Appeal. Please submit your event entry for this competition as soon as possible. There are fees associated with such a service but we have kept these as low as possible.
